Control Your Laptops With Eyes

There are everyday hundred’s of new advancement in the field of technology and all these advancements are made in favour of human beings to live a better life. The latest idea generated by Tobii, a Swedish company is that “laptop controlled by the eyes instead of a mouse.”

Tobii is also known for making eye-controlled personal computers for seriously paralysed peoples. This eye-control feature is same as of
touch screen available in mobiles.

This Tobii device is a lustrous black Lenovo laptop, enabled with a keyboard.
“'You still use the mouse to click, but the eyes are ideal for pointing,'
Anders Olsson, Business Development Manager, Tobii.”

In order to Zoom an image, just focus on the image and press keyboard key to zoom it, this helps you to easily switch between windows and pop up the hide taskbar. A sample eye-controlling game is working well, in which a user has to destroy the coming Asteroids towards him by looking at it.

This laptop use an assortment of 18 cm long assembly of video cameras
to track our eye movements and then act according to it. Tobii's computers already scroll the text automatically up and down as the eyes move around it.
“An eye-controlled computer can also save power, dimming and going into energy-saving mode when you stop looking at it, Olsson added.”

Eye-Control can be used to detect driver drowsiness. When the driver's eyelids shut, the car can automatically issue a wake-up call, for example by setting the windscreen wipers going or a wake-up via car speakers.

This eye control feature is not new but the real challenge is to make it cheap so that everyone can benefit from it. This laptop will come into market within two years.
