Everybody fights with somebody whether that person can be your wife, friend, mother or anyone else. But the thing is Fight Right.
Some phrases are written to stop an argument and end it well by accepting your mistake.

4. I see you’re in a tough position.
5. This is important to me. Please listen.
6. I can see my part in this.
7. I could be wrong.
8. Let’s agree to disagree on that.
9. This isn’t just your problem, it’s our problem.
10. I’m feeling unappreciated.
11. I hadn’t thought of it that way before.
12. We’re getting off the subject.
13. You’ve convinced me.
14. Please keep talking to me.
15. I realize it’s not your fault.
16. That came out all wrong.
17. I see how I contributed to the problem.

Thanks for sharing this. Although I have to say, #10 doesn't really work for me because this will sort of trigger another set of argument that seem to suggest that all his efforts are in vain - good or bad, all in a lump sum.
